Jaipur Indian Blockprint Maxi Skirt
If you ever get an authentic Vintage Indian cotton gauze fabric in your hands, you will fall in love.
With its blockprints, an incredible 2000 year old technique, a garment like this flowing and wide maxi skirt is a dream to wear!
It has an elastic waistband and ribbon with tassels, and two slits on both sides for more movement. The pattern is a bamboo leave print on the top and lovely rows of flowers at the bottom, in a bold azur blue.
There is no label on the skirt, but I collect blockprint pieces and I can assure you this is an authentic piece.
The beautiful skirt fits best size S and M and I recommend it to rather big women - it would really be a pity to have it shortened.
Indian block print pieces have a special value, as this technique got mostly replaced by digital prints and polyester fabrics. The cotton gauze is delicate and fine and many pieces didn't last for so long when worn heavily, so they tend to be rare in these days - and this skirt is in perfect condition!
